At a re-grant program ceremony in Bergen County’s Hackensack headquarters building, on May 15, 2007, the Edgewater Arts Council was awarded a grant to help fund its 16th Annual Arts & Music Festival, scheduled for Sunday, September 9.

Edgewater Arts Council receives Bergen County grant

The Edgewater Arts Council was one of 30 recipients of subsidies from the Bergen County Arts Grant Program, which is funded in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.

The certificate of award was presented by Bergen County Executive Dennis McNerney, with Carol Messer, Director of the Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs; Dr. Mary Sumers, the division’s Grant Coordinator and Bruce Bonaventuro, Director, Department of Parks for Bergen County.

The grant was accepted by Neda Rose, founder and president of the 16 year old Edgewater Arts Council, a 501 (C) 3 non profit, non partisan organization of volunteers

Other support for the Edgewater Arts Council traditionally comes from commercial and private benefactors, advertising in Festival Program Books and banners, fundraising projects and grants from the Borough of Edgewater.
