About the Edgewater Arts Council
The Edgewater Arts Council is a private organization of volunteers created in 1990 to broaden awareness of visual and performing arts and crafts.
We produce annual Arts & Music Festivals, Wearable Arts Shows and partner with the Cultural & Historical Committee to present a Vintage Auto Show. We also created and maintain a gallery and produce jazz and classical music concerts. We have donated sculpture to the borough of Edgewater for public places and gave the municipality framed prints of paintings, depicting local scenes. Other activities include informal discussions on photography and other arts.
The annual Arts & Music Festival includes participation of the non profit Edgewater Cultural & Historical Committee, Friends of the Edgewater Free Public Library and children from Edgewater’s Eleanor Van Gelder School and the School of Performing Arts. . .
The festival is supported by private donations, advertising in the Program Book, fund raising events and grants from the Borough of Edgewater.
Funding has also been made possible in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, through grant funds administered by the Bergen County Department of Parks, Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs.
